第一摘
上个星期的一个晚上我陪女儿入睡，那天我们的话题是‘死’。
女儿问我为什么人会死？是不是老了就会死？这个问题女儿问过很多次了而且我也答过无数次（女儿是早熟动物）。因为是似懂非懂的年纪，所以我每次回答他们问题的答案都简单化，配合他们的年纪去解释。我就说：‘生老病死是每个人的必经之路，没得躲也逃不过很天然的，婴儿变小孩，小孩变大孩，大孩变年轻人，年轻人变中年人，中年人变老人，老人过后就是死了。’
每一个小孩都是一样，最怕自己心爱的人由其是爸爸妈妈死。然后女儿就问我：‘那是说你也一定会死是吗？’我说：‘是，不过那是很久以后的事，很老很老以后才会死。’然后她就问我大概几岁会死，我告诉她或许我会活到100岁才死。然后我就看着女儿用手指算一算不出声然后她就睡着了，这个话题总算告一段落了。
第二摘
几天过后，女儿跟我说：‘Mummy，你不可以不死吗？’我说：‘放心，现在要到100岁还有很长很久的事，我现在才31岁，从31数到100是不是要用很长的时间？’她吾一声后，话题也再次告一段落。
第三摘
昨天，女儿很高兴跟我说。。。
女儿 ：Mummy, I already speak to the god.
我 ：About what you told the god?
女儿 ：I ask her not to give you birthday,
if no birthday then forever u can stay
at 31 years old no need to go to 100
years old, if no 100 years old then
you wont need to die lah!
我 ：Huh!
女儿 ：You happy or not?
我 ：But I love birthday very much
because I love to eat cake and
so do you right?
女儿 ：Aiyah we can buy cake and eat anytime
no need to wait until birthday mummy.
我 ：Oh yah..ok, so what did the god say?
女儿 ：Mm…I think she needs to think because
she haven’t say anything to me yet.
我 ：Oh then we better don’t disturb her first
we just wait only lah
女儿 ：Mm yaloh.
